Halle Berry had her own share of low moments

Halle Berry is the epitome of a beautiful and successful woman. At least for me, she is. But with that exquisite beauty and a successful career, it is surprising to believe that she almost took her life because of one guy.

Here's what she said People mag about that experience:
Berry, 40, admits to Parade magazine that she tried to gas herself when her fiery union to Atlanta Braves baseball star David Justice collapsed, but pulled out at the last minute.

"I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming when I had an image of my mother finding me," she tells the magazine.

The image of her stoic mother Judith, now 67, was enough to snap the blues out of Berry. "She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do. It was all about a relationship. My sense of worth was so low," Berry says. "I promised myself I would never be a coward again."

At least she was able to learn the lesson. Even celebrities have their lowest points. That makes them human. That brings them back to the same level we all are on.

Angelina adopts again

Here's something from the Playfuls:
The newest Jolie-Pitt kid will bring proud mom Angelina and dad Brad a reported $2 million for appearing in a magazine.

Looks like Angelina has agreed to sell pictures of her new son to People magazine for between $1.75 million and $2 million, according to Radar magazine.

Although a People spokesperson has described that figure as “absurd,” the rumors continue. The spokesperson added, “We don't comment on the specifics on any negotiations,” fueling further speculation.

Intimate pictures of mother and child are now appearing on the front cover of Hello magazine after they were given exclusive access to Angelina's family album. Pax is shown becoming acquainted with sister Zahara and falling asleep next to new brother Maddox.
Okay, so is the reason why Angie and Brad keep on adopting kids? I really have no problem with them adopting kids from wherever but to monetize their act of love is something that I am against. I hope the money really goes to charity as what reports have mentioned. I don't want to be a jackass and put malice to them giving some homeless child some food and shelter and love as long as they spare the act from publicity and monetary affairs.

300 earns 70 Million on its first week

I saw 300 and it was indeed a great film. Not that deep but it sure is packed with a lot of goodies.

It is no wonder then that 300 did a landslide in the box-office. Yahoo Movies has this details to prove just that.

'300'

My friends are raving about their movie experience with 300. They said the CGI is just impressive and though there's a lot more to be done in order for the film to be totally excellent, it was still one helluva movie.

One of my comrades even told me that 300 is heavily laden with testosterone. Troy and all its manly characters would turn gay if compared to what 300 has exhibited. Geez, I still haven't seen the film and these comments just made me want to watch it all the more.

Anyway, here are some pics from the film.

An Inconvenient Truth wins two Oscars

Al Gore's global warming crisis documentary, An Incovenient Truth, wins two Oscars!

1. Best Documentary Feature
2. Achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original song) for “I Need to Wake Up” from “An Inconvenient Truth” --> Music and Lyric by Melissa Etheridge

I am glad the Oscars actually gave credit to this excellent documentary. Kudos to Al Gore and all those who made the film possible. Nice job guys!
