Sanjaya is finally out

It was a bit surprising to see Lakisha Jones in the bottom two this week in American Idol. I know Lakisha didn't give a very good performance but I just didn't think the people would deprive her their votes. Lucky for her though, Sanjaya Malakar was sent packing to the delight and dismay of the many people.

Well, of course those who have been aching to see Sanjaya go were delighted. They have always been claiming that the dude has no talent. That he can't sing. That he is tone-deaf.

On the other side of the fence are the Sanjaya fans who have been supporting their idol from day one. Sanjaya is a good-looking kid and has charisma. He just lacks the singing prowess that the show is trying to find.

Now Simon can feel good knowing that he doesn't have to fulfill his promise of quitting the show once Sanjaya wins.

Jackie Chan and Jet Li in one movie? Cool!

I have always been a fan of kung fu movies. I like Jackie Chan and I love Jet Li. And it seems my appetite for such genre would all the more be sated because two of the world's greatest martial arts actors are gonna team up for a one big action movie.

Variety says that the two are going to star in a Lions Gate movie, The Forbidden Kingdom.
Lionsgate has boarded martial-arts actioner "The Forbidden Kingdom," which pairs Jackie Chan and Jet Li for the first time on the big screen.

Based on the Chinese legend of the monkey king, story revolves around an American teenager who discovers the king's legendary stick weapon in a pawn shop. Teen is transported back in time to ancient China, where he joins a crew of warriors fighting to free the imprisoned king.

Li is set to play two roles, that of the monkey king and the silent monk. Chan will pay the monk T'sa-Ho.
I can't wait to see this film in the theater. These two guys know how to kick ass and I sure don't wanna miss seeing that.

The Resurrection

John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (NIV)

Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. (NLT)

Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

Rejoice!! The Lord Lives!
