The Invasion

The Invasion has Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig in the cast. I should commend Nicole for a job well done. She is very effective for the role and I think she really should at least get a nomination from this. Daniel Craig, on the other hand, didn't shine in this movie. Perhaps because of the hairstyle or something, I am not really sure. He must have been confined in the small role he has to play. His lines were very limited then.

The Invasion is based on the famous novel Body Snatchers and I think the film director did a decent job of capturing the novel's best moments. It was indeed scary to note that you will become a different person once you contract the virus.

Here's the synopsis of the movie:
A space shuttle mysteriously crashes on Earth, and an extraterrestrial disease in the wreckage begins infecting human beings. A psychiatrist from Washington, D.C., Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman), and her colleague Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig) discover that the transformation caused by the infection is triggered by REM sleep, robbing the victims of their humanity. As the infection spreads, fewer people can be trusted. Fighting to stay awake, Carol looks for her son, who may hold the answer to stopping the invasion.
I think the movie is great and I enjoyed it very much.
